The 2021 Ford Edge extracts up to 250 horsepower from the 2.0-L EcoBoost engine, including a twin-scroll turbocharger. Made of cast aluminum, this four-cylinder powertrain has a peak torque rating of 280 pound-feet. Also engineered according to the EcoBoost architecture, the 2.7-L engine pumps out 335 hp. Fitted with two turbochargers, this V-6 powerhouse yields 380 lb-ft. Built on the EcoBoost platform, the 2021 Ford Explorer’s 2.3-L engine develops 300 hp and 310 lb-ft. Both vehicles offer the Intelligent 4WD System that boosts handling on wet pavement. When equipped with the Terrain Management System, the Explorer conquers a wide range of off-road terrains.
