Displacing 2.3 liters, an I-4 engine block runs the 2021 Ford Ranger. Running on the exclusive EcoBoost design, this twin-scroll turbo powertrain whips out 270 horsepower. The Auto Start-Stop technology improves the fuel economy of this four-cylinder engine rated at 310 pound-feet of torque. This midsize Ford model is powerful enough to tow a 7,500-pound trailer. Coming from the EcoBoost series, the 2021 Ford F-150’s 2.7-liter engine is rated at 325 hp and 400. The signature turbo technology also controls the 3.5-liter powertrain that dishes out 400 hp and 500 lb-ft. This light-duty Ford truck is available with the PowerBoost Full Hybrid system that kicks out 430 hp. When working at 3,000 RPM, the all-new propulsion unit unleashes 570 lb-ft. Running on diesel fuel, the 3.0-liter Power Stroke engine spits out 440 lb-ft on the low end of the tachometer. Additionally, the 2021 Ford F-150 boasts a best-in-class towing capacity of up to 14,000 pounds.

A 10-speed automatic transmission system propels the 2021 Ford Ranger. Three overdrive gears and the SelectShift capability are integrated into the gearbox. Similarly, a 10-speed gearbox is standard on the 2021 Ford F-150. The Automatic Modular Hybrid transmission is fine-tuned exclusively for the PowerBoost Full Hybrid system. Both light-duty Ford pickup trucks offer a 4×4 drive with a multitude of traction-enhancing hardware. For instance, the Ranger’s rear differential is linked to an electronic locker for quick adjustments in torque flow. This midsize model has a shift-on-the-fly function for the ultimate versatility on rough trails. The Terrain Management System adapts to various unpaved surfaces in real-time, including mud, grass, gravel, and snow. Featuring the Hill Descent Control, the Trail Control is smoothly integrated into the four-mode TMS. The 2021 Ford F-150 has the TMS with up to seven modes, including the Slippery, Baja, and Rock Crawl. Monotube shock absorbers from the FOX brand are optional for this powerful model. Both light-duty Ford pickup trucks have the Trailer Sway Control that corrects any lateral instability in your trailer.

The 2021 Ford Ranger comes with two front tow hooks and four cargo tie-down hooks on the bed. A power-locking tailgate is optional for this midsize Ford pickup truck. Featuring a power-folding design, the vehicle’s side mirrors include approach lighting and heating. Some other notable accessories on the Ranger include 5-inch running boards, off-road step bars, and steel bash plates. The 2021 Ford F-150 is loaded with all-new amenities, such as the Pro Power Onboard that generates reliable electricity for various power tools and equipment.
