Invoking the name of the classic Ford Mustang Mach 1 of the 1960s and 70s, this all-electric vehicle marks the beginning of a new, environmentally sustainable era for the brand as the first addition to the Mustang lineup in decades. Targeted Range, RWD Model** Passengers Horsepower The base version of the Mach-E includes a target range of 230 miles at a battery capacity of 76 kWh, targeting up to 60 miles per hour in the low six second range. Peak horsepower is listed at 255. On the other side of the spectrum, the Mach-E GT has a range of 250 miles and battery capacity of 99 kWh, targeting up to 60 miles per hour in under four seconds. The GT’s peak horsepower has not yet been announced. It is expected to go on sale with a sticker price of $60,500. Between the two extremes are the Premium and the California RT.1 Edition. The Premium, starting at $50,600 MSRP, comes with an optional extended range battery with a target range of 300 miles and peak horsepower of 282. The extended range battery is the only option in the California RT.1 Edition, which is to start at $52,400 MSRP. The Mustang Mach-E includes seats for five people. All Mach-E models include LED lighting, a 15.5 inch touch screen and a phone as key. Aside from the basic version, models also feature memory driver seats, a B&O 10-Speaker Sound System, a heated steering wheel and first row, a panoramic fixed-glass roof and a 360-degree camera. The GT model also features Miko inserts for the seats and copper metallic stitching. All versions are equipped with the Ford Co-Pilot 360 2.0 suite, which includes automatic emergency braking, cross-traffic alert and post-impact breaking. Models other than the standard version also include the Active Park Assist 2.0, which features land centering, stop-and-go cruise control and speed sign recognition. With the Mustang Model-E not expected to hit the market until late 2020 at the earliest, keep an eye out for more information as it becomes available.
