The 2021 Ford F-150 XLT is equipped with a 3.3 L V6 engine rated at 290 net horsepower. Fitted with the Ti-VCT valvetrain, the six-cylinder engine delivers 265 pound-feet of torque. This normally aspirated powertrain uses Port Fuel and Direct Injection technology during combustion. The 2021 Ford F-150 Lariat runs on a 2.7 L V6 engine that produces up to 325 hp. Carrying the EcoBoost nameplate, this turbocharged engine unleashes 400 lb-ft. Both Ford pickup trucks have the Auto Start-Stop technology for enhanced fuel economy. These light-duty models can also be equipped with a 3.5 L V6 engine with the PowerBoost Full Hybrid design. Peak ratings of this all-new propulsion system include 430 hp and 570 lb-ft. This fuel-saving powertrain is paired to the Hybrid Electronic Automatic Transmission, which has ten fixed gear ratios. Additionally, both F-150 models offer a 4×4 drive with the Electronic-Locking Rear Differential.
The 2021 Ford F-150 XLT comes standard with the 4-inch Productivity Screen. You may also upgrade to the 8-inch Productivity Screen for better visibility. The 2021 Ford F-150 Lariat is equipped with the 12-inch Digital Productivity Screen. This mid-level model also boasts a 12-inch touch screen with a user-friendly interface. The XLT edition comes standard with an 8-inch touch screen. Both light-duty pickup trucks have Ford’s latest SYNC 4 software for superb guidance, connectivity, and entertainment. For instance, the FordPass Connect includes a 4G LTE Wi-Fi network optimized for ten simultaneous connections. The Wi-Fi signals have a maximum range of 50 feet for enhanced productivity at remote locations. You’ll also get the Enhanced Voice Recognition technology for the Lariat’s GPS navigation system. Additionally, both light-duty Ford pickup trucks offer a 640-watt sound system from Bang & Olufsen.
Standard on the 2021 Ford F-150 XLT and Lariat, the Reverse Sensing System helps you back up with confidence. Both Ford pickup trucks also have the Rear View Camera, which is enhanced by the all-new Dynamic Hitch Assist. Optional on both trims, the Pro Trailer Backup Assist delivers class-exclusive assistance for moving a trailer at slow speeds. These full-size models can be equipped with several other driving aides, like the Forward Sensing System and Trailer Reverse Guidance. Designed to improve your awareness of other cars in adjacent lanes, the Trailer Coverage is optional for these 2021 F-150 editions. Thanks to the Connected Built-In Navigation technology, you’ll avoid traffic jams and other major hazards on local roads. Both Ford pickup trucks have several technologies that improve your confidence in urban streets, like Pre-Collision Assist.
