Horsepower, 2.3-L EcoBoost® Engine
2020 INFINITI Q60
$41,350 – $59,150
Horsepower, 3.0-Liter V6 Engine
Built on the EcoBoost and GTDI platforms, the 2020 Mustang’s 2.3 L engine block generates 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. Running on the Ti-VCT system, the 5.0 L V8 engine unleashes up to 480 hp and 420 lb-ft. Also operating on the Ti-VCT system, the 5.2 L V8 powertrain is rated at 527 hp and 429 lb-ft. Engineered exclusively for the Shelby GT500 edition, the supercharged 5.2 L engine pumps out 760 hp. Featuring the cross-plane crank configuration, this eight-cylinder propulsion system yields 625 hp at 5,000 RPM. None of the engines available for the 2020 INFINITI Q60 can match the superb capabilities of the 2020 Mustang’s V8 gas engines. In fact, the Q60’s standard 3.0 L V6 engine is weaker than the Mustang’s entry-level EcoBoost I-4 powertrain.
Most of the 2020 Mustang models are driven by a standard manual transmission system that creates six gear speeds. The Rev Matching technology is available for this traditional gearbox. Designed for the high-performance Shelby GT500 trim, a dual-clutch transmission system with the TREMEC badge is tuned for sporty driving. This high-tier model is also equipped with a differential cooler and limited-slip rear axles that claims the Torsen design. A 10-speed gearbox from the SelectShift series is also available for the 2020 Mustang. With access to the Selectable Drive Modes, you can fine-tune this legendary muscle car for various driving conditions. For instance, the Drag Strip Mode optimizes the drivetrain and powertrain for rapid acceleration. Speaking of acceleration, the Shelby GT500 goes from 0 to 60 MPH in slightly more than 3 seconds. The 2020 INFINITI Q60 can’t match the remarkable capabilities of the Ford rival. However, this coupe offers the Drive Mode Selector that includes the Sport+ Mode and several other settings. The Adaptive Shift Control is another performance-oriented feature in this agile vehicle. However, the Q60 doesn’t have anything to match the Mustang’s MagneRide suspension, Launch Control, and other track-inspired technologies.
A 12.0-inch LCD instrument cluster is available inside the 2020 Mustang. You can customize this digital display that delivers essential information on performance in real-time. This Ford muscle car also comes with an 8.0-inch center monitor that runs on the SYNC 3 technology. You may touch the screen or press some hard keys to access Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and the FordPass Connect applications. The updated SYNC software is also compatible with Amazon Alexa, SiriusXM, and Waze. You can listen to iHeartRadio and Pandora on 12 speakers from the Bang & Olufsen company. Available with a 13-speaker sound system from Bose, the 2020 INFINITI Q60 also offers incredible entertainment. However, with the Ford Mustang, you have more premium options at a lower price.
