Performance Features

Performance Features

It’s important for you to have an SUV that puts out the power that you want it to have. You also want a model that’s fuel-efficient enough to make a difference in your life. The 2020 Ford Explorer’s base model comes with a 2.3-Liter EcoBoost I4 motor that puts out a powerful 300 horsepower. The XLT model has a 17.9-gallon tank. The Traverse has a 3.6-Liter V6 that doesn’t produce as much power as the Explorer’s small motor does.

Safety

Safety

While the safety features in both models are abundant, the 2020 Ford Explorer had a lot more to offer than the Traverse. The list is very extensive, so we can only discuss a few features. Some of the most prominent safety features on the Explorer are features such as Traction Control, SOS Post-Crash Alert System and Belt Minder. The Belt Minder system is something that alerts the driver if someone does not have a seatbelt on. Traction Control is a system that keeps the vehicle stable at all times. SOS Post Crash alerts the appropriate agencies if the individual gets into an accident.

The 2020 Traverse has some safety features, but they’re not quite as amazing as the features that the Explorer has to offer. Some of the features the model has are features such as Forward Collision Alert and Front Pedestrian Braking. Your visit to the dealership can help you determine which vehicle will be better and do more for you in your endeavors.

Technology

Technology

You will most likely want to have as many technology features as possible. Both vehicles have a lot of tech, but the Explorer pulled first place when it came to that. Tech features on the Explorer include features such as SiriusXM Radio, Voice-Activated Navigation, Smart Charging USB Ports and more. There are also a lot of other features in the area of safety that the model has. The Traverse offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It has some additional safety features, as well. However, none of them seem to steal the show the way the Explorer’s suite does.
