Power
Boasting a 250-horsepower rating, the 2.0 L EcoBoost engine block propels the 2020 Edge. This twin-scroll turbocharged powertrain cranks out 280 pound-feet of torque at 3,000 RPM. Such output is achieved when this I-4 engine burns premium unleaded gasoline. Also displaying the EcoBoost label, the 2.7 L engine spits out 355 net hp. When burning premium unleaded gas, this exclusive V6 propulsion system pumps out 380 lb-ft at a tachometer level of 3,250 RPM. You won’t get more than 219 hp from the 2020 RAV4’s 2.5 L Dynamic Force engine, which is compatible with a hybrid system. This efficient powertrain has a maximum towing rating of only 1,750 pounds. Non-hybrid trims can’t tow more than 1,500 pounds. The much more powerful 2020 Edge tows up to 3,500 pounds when equipped with the Class II Trailer Tow Package.

Handling
Rolling on the Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, the 2020 Edge isn’t afraid to take on slippery roads. By balancing the torque between the front and rear axles, this proprietary 4WD system maximizes traction on wet pavement. The Drive Disconnect quickly increases or decreases torque flow based on instantaneous demand. The Traction Control reduces the throttle and applies the brakes if the wheels slip. Additionally, this Ford crossover SUV maintains good balance on corners when the Torque Vectoring Control kicks in. Cornering is further enhanced by the Curve Control function that’s part of the updated AdvanceTrac system. When climbing steep hills, the 2020 Edge is stabilized by the Roll Stability Control. You have access to eight different gear ratios in the automatic transmission, which has the all-new Active Warm-Up technology for dynamic driving. Similarly, the 2020 RAV4’s Direct Shift transmission offers eight speeds and the Sequential Shift setting. However, this compact Toyota model doesn’t have as many high-performance features.

Digital Technology
The 2020 Ford Edge’s 8-inch infotainment system comes with the SYNC 3 AppLink suite. You can directly access Waze traffic updates on this updated multimedia system. From remote services to parking finders, the exclusive FordPass Connect is also at your fingertips. The FordPay service lets you pay bills for financing, repairs and other expenses related to the vehicle. This compact Ford crossover SUV offers several third-party integrations, including Amazon Alexa, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You’ll find these mobile-friendly services in the 2020 RAV4’s Audio Plus infotainment console, which has an 8-inch monitor. Manufactured by JBL, this Toyota’s audio system is available with up to 11 speakers. The 2020 Edge’s Bang & Olufsen 12 speakers generate better acoustics.
